Salivating here, yet again! That looks delicious!

Winter is perogie time, and toward that end I turned 3 gallons of milk into 4# of Farmers cheese. It's made identical to ricotta, but is much drier, at the least the stuff I make is. Commercially made farmers cheese is heavy on the water. Water is heavy as compared to curd and the packages are sold by weight. The whey, I'll drink some, but the dogs will get most of it. No date set yet for our lady friend to come over and help with the perogies, but it'll happen relatively soon. I make our filling heavy on the cheese, with green onion and some potato. They get boiled and then we like to fry them to brown them and put a butter/onion mixture over them.

I was going to make a stovetop mac & cheese tonight to test a new ATK recipe, but I made enough dishes for the wife to wash with the cheese project. Too, I didn't know what I was going to serve the mac & cheese with. Instead, I'll have some leftover meatballs and tortellini. I wish I had some of that sausage and peppers dish to put over the tortellini though!

Looks good.
What is the pot sitting on in the first picture. Is that a stove heating elements or simply a trivet?

Looks tasty.
What herbs did you use?
Chives or scallions on the potatoes?
Thyme on the chicken?

The pan with the Italian Sausages is sitting on the stove burner (Bosch gas stove). The pan is a 1973 Stainless Kitchen Craft (USA). After 45 years of daily use, the whole set still looks new. When you buy quality stuff, that's what happens! Same with high quality razors.
