I have a really nice Wild West Brushworks handle that I picked up. Trying to decide on a knot for it. What are some good knots to try. I’m new so I’m feeling my way through different things to figure out what I like. I was looking at a declaration knot but reviews seemed really mixed for the money. Was also thinking of a Maggard SHD Badger fan or bulb. The handle is drilled for a 26mm knot I believe.

I can vouch for Brett Mozingo (Mozingo Brushworks). Excellent hand tied knots.

I'd have a Mozingo ZT2 knot stuffed in it.

Declaration B8 is still available for knotting. Its my favorite knot I've ever used. B9A is also very good. Go for a Maggard SHD if you don't want to spend the money.

If you don’t know what you like yet, I’d get a Maggard SHD and set it with silicone. If you like it, great...you didn’t spend too much. If you don’t like it, at least you can remove the knot easily and get something else.

Going to be trying a B8 later this week. Will let you know my take

Go with the Mozingo ZT2, I promise you’ll love it. And if you know what specific loft you’d like, just let Brett know and he’ll set it at whatever you prefer.

I agree with the post above that the zt2 is great as I just got mine. I would also suggest the apshaveco gelousy knot I have a 26 and 28 both bulb and I love them both. It might change but as of right now the gelousy 28mm bulb is my favorite badger.
Happy shaves
