What accusations exactly?

I think you purposely missed the point of my post, but never mind. Experienced wet shavers take this kind of reviews with a grain of salt. If you have bought items based on some "make a review with the free product you got" that didn't meet your expectations, then yes you're suspicious because there are money involved, you don't get it for free like others. Sure it's fun, but I don't think that you and other makers do it just for fun, you are sellers, you don't own a charitable institution.

You made several accusations in your post. But that's ok. Experienced wet shavers take this kind of negativity with a grain of salt. We like to judge products based upon our own use of the product and are not swayed by negative or positive comments from people who only have an axe to grind. I'll put your comments in the category of ones to be ignored. Thanks.

Oh no, don't do that to me...

So here we have another fanboy with hurt feelings. Do you receive free products in exchange for reviews as well?

If you can't participate in a discussion, then don't.

Let me be crystal clear:

1, I was given a free sample of preshave

2, had I not liked it, would have worst remained silent or posted kind but noncommital review online. Loathe to blast a vendor kind enough to provide their product for unbiased review be it as courtesy for their effort or that others may find the product suits their needs

3, I was NOT a fan of preshaves - that is until trying the Grooming Dept variants

4, the Grooming Dept preshave is so good, reversing my den culling to include it henceforth and so good buying one for an old friend. THAT is how good it is

So yes Mo gave me maybe 0,5oz of preshave sample but that proved a product otherwise had no interest in purchasing is now a must have. No amount of good will, and admittedly I have a lot for Mo, could influence buying a product not fully convinced is best in market at this stage in my shaving adventure. All I ever sought was getting a decent shave with sensitive skin and disfigurement which is no easy task. I ONLY buy what works irrespective of price, reputation or relationship - I simply can not compromise with the handicaps borne.

This thread was chugging down the tracks on the crazy train but is now fully off the rails.

This has been taken to a whole other level of paranoia and mistrust.

I got the Preshave too. So I’m sure I will instantly be branded as a shilling fanboy. Yay!

Besides all of that . I've never had any of that grooming Dept. shave soap, so will there be more than one base or/and what is the best base? Also I would sure like to try that pre-shave, as I think that's pretty smart, make some other soaps better that aren't quite so good.yep.

Well, you really can’t go wrong with any of the formulas. Seriously they’re all fantastic.

Ding ding!

Keyboard warriors are strong on forums. People in the Facebook groups aren’t quite so nutty. The anonymity that forums provide create some interesting modifications to “normal” behavior
