Vetiver Veritas (Heeley) lavender, mint, vetiver
Smoky, oily vetiver and not much more. It's genuine right down to its rooty bones. The lavender and mint last only a minute before being swallowed whole by a wave of vetiver. There may be some grapefruit rind in there too, but it never really joins the dance. I love everything about this fragrance but the price (about $195 for 50 ml). If you're tight like me, you can get nearly the same reeky results with a $5 sample of Javan double distilled vetiver oil.

Freddy: Seeing just a wee drop of that vintage Vetiver left in the bottom of your flask makes me weep. That was good stuff.
Today I drenched myself with the current pale version of Guerlain Vetiver, but I can hardly smell it.
That is what I have been so concerned about, Bouki. I have been wanting to get a replacement bottle but have heard the same as you have pointed out here, that the new iteration isn't as good. Do you have any ideas of a decent vetiver for a replacement because you are right about my bottle; I have one, maybe two uses left.
