I appreciate all the insights here that you guys have given me on this!!! I ended up going with the Bulova I mentioned earlier and linked in my prior post. I just couldn't pass up the movement this watch has and it has the look and feel I wanted. The wife even let me have it early so I can wear it to the office this week. Hopefully it will last me for years to come. I'm also considering getting another watch before Christmas since they are steeply discounted this time of year. First razors and then fountain pens and now watches. The only problem is a good watch is far more expensive that even the Cadillac of razors, this could get pricey!!!

Nice choice, it is a really nice looking watch. I'm sure it performs excellent as well. Please do post some pics and give us your opinion, I may have to have one myself.

I've been on a watch hiatus myself for a while, but it may be time for another!

Nice watch and you will be happy with it.  If you are looking at another watch take a hard look at the automatics (they wind due to your motion).  Mechanical watches can last more than a lifetime with care.

With all the Christmas madness and the large amount of Khols cash we earned over Black Friday and seeing how the Khols cash was only good for seven days, and seeing how the boys are already spoiled, I couldn't just not get this right?? I also ordered a Tissot automatic per some of the advice here. I've done ample research and while I may be really really new to the watch game.... I like what Bulova brings to the table especially comparing their recent designs the last four years or so post being purchased by citizen. I love the Precisionist movement on my other Bulova and while this one is Quartz, people in the office have commented on this guy a lot. This watch was discontinued after seven years in 2013. You can still find them sparingly for really great prices especially if you have "free Khols cash". Great way to get a killer watch much cheaper than what it went for.

I'm into watches, maybe not a collector per se, however I do have about a dozen. My favorite for the price, quality, and aesthetics is Citizen, and my favorite watch that I own is a TAG Formula One but it cost me too. Bolova makes some nice watches but I don't have one so can't speak to them. I probably wear Citizen more than anything, including the TAG. My favorite aspect of Citizens Eco-Drive besides aesthetics and quality/durability is the fact that they don't require batteries or winding and charge by direct light. Also, for my taste Citizen makes some of the best looking watches. Now then, my ultimate favorite watch that I would love to own some day is Breitling.
