Still looking for the holy grail, LASSC-BBS1.  Pick 2 razors for your labbs1.

Listed are
1) One blade razor with stand -  with carrying case        (super easy shaves, not very technique sensitive)
2) Titanium wolfman WR2 - WRH7 - 0.95 blade gap       (perfect for comfortable daily shaves)
3) Polished stainless steel WR1 - WRH2 - 0.74 blade gap   (slightly more aggressive feel, but very close shave)
4) Razorock DLC stealth with stand - there are some peelings on the handle, head is in good condition    (nice blade feel on the face, good close shave)
5) Adding - Cobra classic

If you don't like any of the razors, $800  $1000 in cash.
Let me know.

It's amazing how a few posts in a thread can create even more hype Wink hahaha

It is worth it though (here creating more hype)

BBS-1 is a true unobtanium. If you are a collector, it certainly is a cool prize to chase after. From the purely shaving performance point of view it is not the most efficient razor that James produced. I was lucky to own a BBS1(more than once) and every time I let them go. They were undoubtedly beautiful, by way too inefficient for my taste. Now I predominantly use WR1s 0.67 to 0.86.

That's an interesting view.  I've had the BBS1 years and years ago, around 2015 or 2016, and when I shaved with it, I thought it was the most efficient thing i had tried, not to mention how pretty and elegant it looked.

I am not one who likes super aggressive razors, but bbs1 felt just right in terms of aggressiveness.  Wolfman WR1(0.74) felt more aggressive than the Wr2 from my recent experience.  I had high hopes for Wr2 as people said it's pretty comparable to BBS1, it felt a lot milder to me.  I almost don't feel the blade with .95 setting.  Maybe I should try 1.05 if i can find someone to trade.

I think your are going to have to significantly increase your offer if you want to entice someone to sell their BBS1. True unobtainium with very few made, will never be made again, significant hype, and rarely on the secondary market.

My working assumption is that the geometry of the BBS-1 (and WR2) safety bar is less suitable for my facial characteristics and personal preferences. I liked the aesthetics of the BBS-1, but could never achieve the same level of satisfaction as with the WR1 .67 to .86. When the WR2 came out I tried .95, 1.05, 1.15, .1.25, and 1.35. The only gap that gives me comparable shave to that of WR1 is 1.35, so I kept only one WR2 head.

I will try higer blade gap of WR2 eventually, if i can't find a bbs1.  It seems unlikely at this point, but who knows!

I wish you luck on your journey finding one. It's a damn nice shaver but don't lose sleep over it. I got rid of mine after having used it rather extensively after 6 years. Luckily I found a more obtainable razor on the market that suited my shaves. Wonder how I would feel if I bought a WR2 1.00mm from James and see how similar or different they may or not be. Anyways, I'm sure you'll end up with one in hand. Cheers

Should you decide to go this route, you might want to consider a Ti WR2.
