Yes, many of them are. But in all fairness, they are set up differently with vendor pricing, taxes and duty.

No one said you had to sell or for $10. It isn't our fault you didn't research your purchase and overpaid in the beginning.

If is very bad form and almost offensive to me to see people join a forum and sell for higher then eBay prices and then take offense when an actual participating member points it out.

Price it right, no one will criticize and it will sell. Price it too high and I'll point it out every time, until they make it a rule we can't comment.

If you want $40+ Canadian shipping prices (I'm here too, so know the prices), head on over to eBay. Even those guys won't bid on it.

I hope one day that you will benefit from someone in this group pointing out a better deal on something you want to buy.
That's all I was trying to do. I benefitted from it early on and don't like seeing people overpay.

I'm a cheapo!

The razor does indeed cost around $55 to $60 at most US stores so it's not that he's asking a high price, but that most people here are aware of the better deals.

Isn't the idea behind the forum to help each other FIND those better deals?

I understand why the OP is upset that these comments were made on his sale thread. I get it. But the truth is, the comments were made in an effort to help the DFS community as a whole. They were not made in a malicious manner, nor were they made with malicious intent. They were made in an effort to inform the seller so that he might adjust his asking price accordingly, and potentially make a sale. Instead, the OP took offense at the lost opportunity to take advantage of another member.

In my humble opinion, the BST section should be used to pass good deals from one user to the next. If someone is looking to take advantage of someone else's ignorance of market value, perhaps the BST forum is not the right place for that.

Just my very humble opinion...which really isn't worth very much...

I agree with you entirely. I just meant if the OP was unaware of Connaught Shaving (very possible for a new member) then he was not trying to rip anyone off because that is actually a fair price with the exception of that merchant. However, since that merchant is a member and sponsor at DFS most of the members know they can get the razor for a better deal, thus he would need to lower his price or sell it elsewhere.
