Sold Vintage Simpson Chubby 2 and Polo 10 Super Badger Somerset Era

Here are a couple of excellent brushes from Simpson before Vulfix purchased the company.  These brushes were completely handmade, from the lathe-turned resin handle to the very well sorted Super Badger knot.  As should be evident from the photos both of these brushes have dense, uber-soft knots in them.  The softest Simpson Super Badger hair I have ever experienced.  Prices include USPS shipping, insurance and PayPal fees.  Feel free to ask any questions here or PM me to purchase.  (There will not be any price reductions, these brushes are worth much more to me than I am asking and if they don't sell I will gladly keep them and choose some other brushes to reduce my collection)



First up is one of my prized Chubby 2s.  This brush was made for Geo F Trumper as indicated by the lamp black stamping.  The handle has some beautiful craftsmanship on display, especially at the base.  There are a few light tan stains that are likely a bit of adhesive residue that I never bothered polishing out as they didn't annoy me.  This one of five Chubby 2s in my collection.  The knot measures 28x53mm (check out those curly tips!).  $225 SOLD



If the Chubby handles are too small for your liking than why not get a big Polo to fill your hands?  The knot on this brush, also with curly tips, is very similar to the knots in the Chubby series at a slightly taller loft.  The brush is excellent for bowl lathering, but I have only used it to lather directly on my face.  It is extremely luxurious feeling.  The lamp black stamp on this brush is a little faded, but still easily legible.  The Super Badger knot on this beast comes in at 29x52mm.  $175
