Thats the beauty of the pre-order system for LEs - we customers pre-order as much as we want and then the artisan makes enough to meet the demand with maybe a few spares for the people that missed the boat. That way if you order more than one, you aren't depriving anybody of the opportunity to get one. The other approach to LEs where the artisan makes a set number and then releases them at a pre-determined time and date has the draw back that if someone orders more than one then somebody else isn't going to get one. The latter example truly is a "limited Edition" while the former is really only limited to what the market will buy. I realize that its important to some to have exclusive things that others can't get but I've found that my enjoyment of a product isn't really influenced by extraneous factors such as whether a few people or a few thousand are also enjoying the product.

Or the third option is to keep things simple, not worry about an overly complicated pre-order process, and just make enough to meet demand Wink

Hey Shawn, I agree that would be best, however, isn't that the problem? Knowing what the demand will be so that you neither over nor under estimate the demand? Obviously you'll never get it exactly right so you decide whether you'll come up a little short and leave them wanting more (or make more) or aim a little high on the assumption that it will eventually all sell.

I guess I'm for an educated assumption that all will sell based on historical sales data. It is possible. Plus, if it's a good product, I think there's a pretty safe assumption that it eventually will all sell, so I'm totally good with shooting high.
