SCShaver, to answer your question, the G-bar, to me, is in the mild to medium range. It would be a great intro to the GEM world to see if you even get on with the blades. I would send a few of those with the razor if you were to purchase. I can't say how it compares to any of the ones you listed though. I've never used any of them. Hope that helps!
Cool then I'll give your G-bar a shot then. Maybe I can acquire a Damaskeene one day if I dig the G-bar.
Even though they use the same blade, the Damaskeene is quite a different shaving experience. Not really in terms of aggression (it's probably a little more aggressive), but in terms of "face feel", if that makes any sense. I like them both.
