For Sale - Shapleigh Hardware "Diamond Edge" Razor Hone.

I found this today as I was cleaning a tool box.  Clearly its from a bygone era.

I have no recollection of how or when I acquired it.  But it needs a place in some wetshaver's den where it will get some appreciation.  Not stuck in the back of a tool box drawer.

There's a faint price on the bottom.  Looks like it may have been sixty-five cents. I'm pricing it at $15.  If that's a bargain, then you win.  If that's too high, send me a PM.

I'll wrap in bubble wrap and mail it in a box so it expectedly will arrive in the same condition it is now.

Thanks for looking.

Should you care about history...

Shapleigh Hardware began in St Louis in 1843.  When Simmons Hardware went bankrupt in 1940, Shapleigh bought its entire stock.  At this time the Keen Kutter and Diamond Edge trademarks were joined.  Other items were now marked Shapleigh's Keen Kutter instead of E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter.

celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1943.  In 1955, the directors sold the company to Curtis Manufacturing.  It operated as Shapleigh Hardware until closing in the early 1960's.
