I'm an aggressive razor guy. But since every razor is unique on every face, I don't want to buy the Charcoal Goods new (assuming I could get on the wait list) and the PAA DOC Evo isn't available new (in stainless) even if I could afford it.

So I'm hoping to purchase one or both at a price that would allow me to resell if it didn't work for me. I don't care how ugly they are so long as the price is reasonable for the condition. Though ideally the Charcoal Goods razor would come with box and handle, it's really not necessary. A head and level 3 base plate would be enough since I could attach them to a more pedestrian handle.

As you can tell, my focus is on the quality of the shave; not on owning heirloom quality razors. Better condition is fine too so long as the price would allow me to turn around and sell without a loss (or minimal shipping-related loss) in the event I didn't find the razor worth the cost.

My current rotation consists of an Ikon Tech (my holy grail), a 2011 R41 and a MMOC. Would like to broaden out beyond three, assuming the cost isn't prohibitive. I understand these are high end razors so I may be whistling in the wind.

Thanks for taking the time to read this request. Cheers!

I’m sure you will like the Charcoal lv3 I just acquired mine.
It’s just right there at Muhle 41 level but smoother in my opinion, perfect razor for people that like or prefer more aggressive feel.

Right now the Ikon Tech is my grail. I love the strong feedback. For me, nothing shaves closer. Will be interesting to see if the CGL3-OC or the PAA Doc Evo can best it.

Have you tried the IT? If so, how does it compare to your CGL3 in your book?

I haven’t the only one I have to compare is the R41 and they’re both right there neck by neck with the only difference that CG is so damn smooth.
I’m really looking forward to try out the IT but they’re kind of hard to come by.

That's gorgeous, my friend. The head looks a lot like the Tech but nicer.

Recently came across some new boxed Techs. If someone had an extra CGL3 they wanted to trade, I would pay the difference. Or if the condition of the CGL3 were scratched up pretty bad, perhaps it would be a fair trade for a new boxed Tech even up.
