Is this disgust coming from the same Reddit group whose member routinely show up and sling disparaging comments in the threads and are banned for being dickheads or is that a different Reddit wetshaving group?

Ah, there it is, the oft repeated refrain of "the reddit hive mind". I'd argue the same thing about this place. Just a different hive....

Well I'm glad I found out this was the true colors of the site admin. That they would rather run eBay with discussion attached rather that develop a sense of community. I welcome anyone as disgusted by this comment as I am to join me over on Reddit r/wetshaving, where they actually try and promote community, expansion of the hobby we all love, sharing, and not price gouge one another.

there's over 300,000 posts on this forum...do you think they're all bst posts? no, they're not... also, I make exactly $0 from bst transactions, so how do you get off with saying this is like ebay?

I really wish people would stop calling wet shaving a "hobby". a lot of people need to shave daily for their jobs and much prefer the better quality shaves with straights, DE & SE razors than the multi blade cartridges that overrun the shelving in the big box stores..

why should every other facet of life have a functioning market mechanism, yet wet shaving cannot simply because someone gets upset if a seller and a buyer mutually and voluntarily agree to part ways with either a product or their money? no one loses in that, at all..

if you don't like the rules of this forum or how its ran, why do you even bother visiting the site and/or posting on it? go start your own with your own rules and what not...that's exactly what I did when I no longer agreed with the course of action on a previous forum I did the server & back end work on..no one is stopping you. go register a domain, it's cheap and easy: https://porkbun.com

Back to Varlet, anyone have any feedback on his new “service” of making custom orders? Anyone receive one yet?

One thing I have to say is that I really like that Radiogram color. The new blue color Aldo introduced is quite nice too. Reminds me quite a bit of the Amethyst material Simpson introduced awhile back, but Aldo's has its own distinct flavor.

Agreed on the Radiogram. I’m a sucker for Bakelite.

I hate to say this once more but the value of his product vs the price increase is nearly non-existent. I wanted to put my money where my mouth is and checked on the state of his customer service. I have sent him over 5 forms between the second day it was available and now. I also used multiple email address in case mine is leaked and he had prejudice against my feedback on this new marketing strategy. Although I used my name for each order so that might of gave it away seeing as I hardly know any other Henery spelled this way but I. I can say, however, that I have not been contacted by time once. My last form basically was statement this form is an serious inquiry for a purchase and I will throw my money at you and yet still no reply.

It is amazing how James is inundated with order yet I exchanged over 10 LENGTHY email with him and he replied back day of or next day at the latest. The newer customer service is non-existent so am interested in what we are paying for. Because if it is the easy of getting the product typically a greater supply with the same demand typically means a decrease and not an increase in said price. Only the lord knows such an answer I guess.
