BBS is a great shaver but truth told, think the Timeless better shaver (with exception of head design getting tight spots around nose - that's why back side of Gillette cart exists!). Like BBS better than reg stad gap Wolfman (never tried other), ATT various, Feather and other regarded razors. Timeless so good bought one after begging a trial. Does Timeless have weakness - yes finish could be much better and may have local race supplier machine shop touch up. They should offer fine finish service as extra cost option imho. Suspect the combo of design of baseplate with backfacing comb and precision of wire edm is the magic. Lots of wire edm experience in grad school fellowship - it IS supernatural performer! But the craftwork and finishing on the BBS is absolutely perfect period.

Oh BTW, John (LASSC) was super supportive post purchase - great experience. And Matt at Timeless actually spent Sunday afternoon, missing a Browns game - maybe not such a big deal (haha), going over all my many questions prior to ordering a razor - great service too!

Both are beautiful, well-made razors, but the BBS is the one razor I will probably never sell (unless I need the money) Smile
The shave for me is better with the BBS. I sold the Timeless.

IMHO the BBS 1 craftsmanship is the benchmark in the contemporary DE/SE razors industry. It shaves really well too, but my Blackbirds are unbeatable. I was lucky to own three BBS 1 (at different times), but sold or exchanged them all.

I've had one for a while, couldn't see the fuss, I have better shavers like my wolfmans but there are obviously many who like the razor.

Tried gsb blade en lieu of feather - much friendlier and still bbs shave! Love this razor and design. Hardly any touch up around nose required post shave. Still think timeless a better shaver but my god love the maneuverability and ergonomics of bbs1. Plus the execution and craftsmanship is stunning. Hell even the stand is Bauhaus work of art
