I've supplied Jeremiah with several knots during this venture and he sent me a sample of this handle. Just wanted to let you guys know I echoed a lot of the sentiment here, with a majority of the feedback focused around having an adjustable loft, and different colors of course being a big one too. As far as I know this is "V1" for the brush, he's actively gathering feedback and will come out with further alterations.

Ultimately I can see it being a cool concept for those that like to tinker with their brushes (like myself). I can see this style of handle being super useful for feeling out the right loft and right knot for a handle before setting it in it's final destination. Totally understand why some might just want a more simple approach though.

apshaveco  It's nice to have your input as well as others.
Hopefully some valuable information might make its way through to the Timeless crew.
I really hope this venture is a success at some point and expands to other developments.

I reached out to Timeless, and with their typically excellent customer service, I got a prompt reply.  The collets (sockets) are 8.9mm deep.  Timeless has discussed internally offering collets of different depths to adjust the loft, and that is a possibility for the future, but not a promise.  Given all the diameters that are provided, offering multiple collet depths for each diameter would greatly multiply the number of pieces involved.

I agree that the loft issue needs to be addressed, but there are some simple engineering fixes possible to make the loft adjustable with the knot size.  IMHO, this is more of a tool to do quick testing of different knots, rather than a game changing consumer item.  Most wet shavers do not collect vast numbers of razors and brushes.  The typical wet shaver will experiment with a few different types/sizes of brushes (synthetic and animal), and stick with one or two that he/she likes.  Collectors typically want a variety of brush handles, since that is what makes this a hobby.  Overall, I am impressed with the concept of a pliable rubber insert, versus a glue bond to hold the knot.  Very innovative.
