Last week I posted about how I received a Timeless 0.68 by mistake. It was engraved as a 0.95 and I was astounded by how mild it was! I mentioned, though, that it was not as efficient as I expected.

I shaved with it yesterday. Today I shaved with my ATT M1, which has a 0.25 blade gap. I used the same Astra blade for both shaves though the shave cream was different. (TOBS Avocado yesterday, Castle Forbes Lime today).

For what it's worth, the Timeless has far less blade feel! I'm amazed. The ATT is a bit more efficient. Now, I love my ATTs and I collected quite a few over the years. But if I had to pick the Timeless .68 or the ATT M1 as a daily driver, the Timeless would get the nod. The comfort is outstanding. And whereas my upper lip--a problem area--is still a bit sore from the ATT, the Timeless shave was irritation-free. I might well end up keeping this razor.

Bottom line: With no criticism intended of ATT, Timeless has made one amazing razor.

If you value comfort and lack of blade feel in a razor, I’m surprised you ordered a Blackbird.

By the way, I agree that Timeless makes a fantastic razor.

Any views on the titanium timeless 0.68 single bar compared to the open comb?

I have these two. Ti SB - very soft, but quite effective, the blade is hardly felt. SS OC - a little more aggressive, the lesion is felt much more. In terms of cleanliness, these two razor's are about the same, ss is slightly better.
