I will give it a rip for a week or two when I get it and try to determine what to do. I badly wanted this razor, its just very beautiful and smooth always sounds great to me. Hopefully I dont end up having to send it back.

That was my understanding going in, straight from Matt @ Timeless. Alas, it doesn't come close to the .68 versions - which I'll be comparing directly tomorrow.

Oh wow that is interesting. Hmm. Well, all I can do at this point is give it a shave and see what happens.

Oh, absolutely. Get it, put it through a variety of tests. Worse comes to worse, you have 30 days to send it back. Timeless Razor is awesome like that.

I like mine better than my Charcoal LV1 I will get a more aggressive plate if they release some. But so far it is my daily driver. Right now loaded with a Vokshod.

So you’re sending it back? I’ve had a similar experience with this razor but still enjoy it. I find it strange that some razors perform really well when I’ve got 2-3+ days growth but disappoint when used to shave daily. I’ve only found a very small handful of razors that perform well as daily drivers. The OC .98 timeless works well but feels just a tad too aggressive for me. Ideal plate for me for a daily driver would be a timeless somewhere between .68 and .98 gap. Thoughts?

I'm truly torn. I love the razor... But I'm not sure how it would fit in. I use the .95 for Monday mornings and the .68 as a daily. That doesn't leave much room for it. That said...

Today I shaved with the .68, fit with a fresh PolSilver blade and scalloped cap to do an apples-to-apples comparison with yesterday. The .68 wins readily, but not as much as I remembered/expected. I'd place the results in between three days and two days growth with the bronze (but closer to the latter). That is, there's stubble along the jawline but the rest of the face is good.

I'm really thinking about ordering another. For Mon-Fri everyday shaves the baseplate is wonderful. Weekend growth the Parker Variant or new Blackbird I'm getting to know.

I miss the smoothness of that Bronze shave!

I’m double checking to make sure I got the same razor as some on this tread! Mine shaves great and I think I’m actually going to step down from the feather blade, and pop in a polsilver since with a feather I dare say it’s a medium level of aggression? Anyways doing the week (should do 30 days) with the razor to make sure it just wasn’t a fluke. I don’t think so, but I did once get a BBS from an AS-D2 without literally shaving twice so anything is possible.

I'm still waiting on mine to be delivered. It was slated to be delivered yesterday, but it seems to be stuck somewhere, no new updates since the 4th. I love the USPS sometimes.

Got it. This might be one of the most aesthetically pleasing razors I’ve ever laid my hands on.
