Timeless Bronze Arrived

I am still struggling to figure out the TImeless Bronze OC. Things did not go so well today with my usual XTG, then ATG pass. Significant drag on ATG pass, despite new blade, and whiskers not eradicated. Drag opened up several tiny wounds in the process. Confirmed my earlier suspicions that this may not be an ATG shaver for me.

Transitioned into XTG (way more comfortable, though damage has been done already) but was unable to achieve my usual BBS standard till i pulled my skin tight with a finger. Impressed that the razor was able to achieve BBS through XTG passes. For me, razor needed to be held center of handle / closer to razor head to achieve optimal control and pressure.

Plan to shave again on Sunday night, to let wounds have time to close. Will test XTG shaving technique again to see if results can be replicated.

Happy to report that XTG method worked perfectly, and I get a wonderfully close shave because of it. If I had to describe it in a phrase, I would call it "deadly efficient".

I had to be very cautious, and stretched my skin out as much as possible during the shave. I know now that it will never be a daily driver for me, no matter how hard I try...

I had the solid bar bronze, and enjoyed it, but the OC was a bit aggressive for me. It shaved extremely close and pretty smooth for me. It looked like the
blade sits pretty close to the combs, and I'm sure that's why It felt really aggressive for me.

Pains me to say this because it’s beautiful but I think I’m leaning toward sending my bronze back as well. For me it’s way less efficient than my Timeless 95 stainless scalloped and also harsher somehow. Thinking I may get try to trade for a 68 gap OC plate for my stainless.

I find it weird that the Bronze turns out harsher for me given how smooth it feels in use!
