I just received 100 Tiger Platinum Blades by one kind person and decided to share view and opinion of them also Tatra is same maker to mention I believe and same performance of blade if I’m correct at least in my view

I’m my opinion these blades pair very well with my Feather WS-D2 and in my opinion are smooth free irritation and I use them only 3 times and dispose they are made in Czech Republic

Great packaging and price is decent despite they don’t have good reputation but I truly enjoy em maybe some other folks who have irritation problems on skin this blade may just do it for you

Take Care

I love both the Tiger and Tatra blades. A friend of mine in the Czech Republic says they are the same blade with different packaging. IMHO, these blades are very similar to the Astra blades made in Russia. I typically use any blade for 2 shaves and then toss. I can get 3 shaves from either Polsilver or Feather blades, prior to tossing.

Thanks for reply I have tried sooo many Blades everything was so so Tatra & Tiger platinum is Secret in my Wet Shaving World as I said smooth no irritation and works on my skin very well and made in Czech Republic better quality in my View and opinion.

These blades you can put in any razor and teach how to shave without blood draw etc..it’s a perfect blade for it and irritation free.

Sputnik blades are not too bad but not like Tatra or Tiger Platinum.

Take care

Again, I don't think you understand how this works. All, I repeat ALL, DE blades have the same height, hence one blade is not actually closer to your skin than another.. If you are getting cuts and/or irritation then it has to be one or more of the following threes causes:

1.  bad prep

2.  bad technique which can include going over an area repeatedly

3.  using a razor far more "aggressive" than you need

In other words, it isn't the blade.

With new DE/SE shavers #3 is most common.

I respectfully have to disagree with this.  I have found some DE blades, used in the same razors, better than others and some, for me at least, are out and out horrible.  Zorrik blades come to mind for the 'horrible' category.

AlanH81, I have to agree with you about the Tiger blades.  When putting in an order a few months ago, I noticed the Tigers for sale and since blades aren't expensive I decided to try them and ordered a tuck of 5.  I was very pleasantly surprised at the smooth close shave they produce for me and when that tuck is completely used I shall definitely reorder them.

Of course you had to pick an extreme outlier blade that 99.99% of people here have never heard of.........  Let me rephrase that by stating that all Gillette, Personna, Lord and a few others really don't shave all that different. Lord & Super-Max are the exceptions for Third World manuf. for the most part.

I’m so glad you said this.....I read about ppl at their 764th shave with 1 blade and I’m like wowsers, I’m so wasteful using my blades 2-3x only....I like sharp hand tools! Same PolSilver and Feathers are 2 of my favs!
