I've seen some posts elsewhere from him...

He appears to be back on the lathe, thanks to the new home ... albeit less than he wants. He also had posted he's still very busy at work, which keeps him away from the forums.

Hopefully things calm down so he can do more shaving, lathing, and chatting. In the meantime, I echo the sentiment: wishing him well.

Thanks for the update and glad he's just busy !

Hey guys, I'm sorry I haven't been around lately. It's true that work has been busy, and being on third shift for the last few months has been a lot rougher on me than I was hoping. I have found time to cast some resin and turn a few things on the lathe, which I am very thankful for. It's something that I really enjoy and I'm happy for any time I can put towards it. It may be kind of sad that getting a new red mica powder in a couple weeks ago has been the most exciting thing about my life, but here we are lol.

Overall irrelevant shop news: What happens when you let the skew hit the turning piece before it is properly set on the tool rest. Proof that you can still make stupid mistakes no matter how long you've been doing something.

It was supposed to come out like this(minus the dust particles), but it looks like I'll be making a very slender barber style handle out of it lol.

I actually have some time off between Christmas and New Years, and will attempt to do some catching up around here at that time. I hope everyone is doing well, and Merry Christmas!

I have that on one of my favorite T-shirts. A Christmas present from my sister a few years ago.

I have a handle from Teton Shaves that was named the Bob Ross due to a mistake that caused a different handle shape than was planned during a live turning. Actually set aside to sell soon.....

Hey Eric, so glad to see you on the lathe again! If it makes you feel better, I’ve had several resin blanks nearly take my head off in the last couple weeks. Must be something in the air.

Been meaning to ask, do you have a dust collector/cyclone? Would love to talk shop if you have time one of these days.

All the best,
Paul
