I think you would be surprised at how little difference lies between artisan soaps and some of the big names. MWF is made in an old Yorkshire stone building and Pre de Provence
is a pretty small operation on a working farm; hardly some black and white industrial film of mass production and hundreds of delivery trucks scurrying off every minutes. I can get those two classic, hard milled soaps for $13 and $11 with known consistency. I love many 'artisan' soaps from operations not much smaller who are hard pressed to sell a soft soap for that price point.
