I was surprised by how well the shave went and am looking forward to using the GEMs and injectors again.Awesome injector!
Colonial General meets anti-colonial General. Awesome shave results.

Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary Aftershave Balm
Look what I found in a box with a bunch of my shaving brushes!
What a nice smooth shaver. I've always thought that this was a classy looking razor. I love the handle, it's so intricate.
Thank you! This razor was an eBay acquisition for about $10 shipped. I was the only bidder. It was one of those cases of poor description and almost as poor photography. I took a chance and ended up with this razor. It came with the original box which was shot and disgusting, but the box did its job and protected the razor. While I certainly couldn't prove it, I believe that this Ever-Ready 1912 had never been used before. It was just sitting there in a box with a bunch of my shaving brushes waiting for me to stumble across it again. And, so:

SOTD-30sep16:
Schick J1 / Schick Super Stainless Steel
Shavemac 2-Band Silvertip
Mystic Water Vetiver Oakmoss Shave Stick
Barrister & Mann Latha Le Petit Chypre Post-Shave Splash
I didn't get home from work until late this morning, so it was a quick shave before the bathroom was invaded. The Schick J1 provides for a quick and fairly mindless shave. All in all, it turned out to be a DFS very quickly, painlessly, and smelling very nice!
I've enjoyed SEptember and will continue to use the various SE's and injectors at my disposal, but I do enjoy grabbing whatever razor is my whim for the day, be it DE, SE, or whatever.
Enjoy your shaves!

Anyone want to split and send half to me?

Wow 1 Month of using only SE's. Really wanted to get through some razors I haven't used, or used very little but it's been so amazingly busy that the shaves were worthless to try to get a feel for them. Still I did find the MMOC is a razor that will not be kept on the sidelines any longer. That will be used much more, and I'm really starting to like the AlumiGoose after tonight's shave, and to think I almost listed it before I heard about the Hawk. Hopefully I got my email in in time to get one. We will very soon see...
