Couldn't agree more. What other SEs do you have?

Just those 2 for now, but I'm considering buying 1-2 of the following:

Colonial Razors the General
Razorock Hawk
Mongosse Razor
Asylum Rx Razor

I would highly suggest you try the General. It is my absolute favorite SE razor at the moment and there are still black ones to be had on their site. I think you can pre order the silver. It is a very nice medium aggressive shave and the build quality for the price is excellent. The hawk is fantastic too but not sure when it will be available again. I was lucky to be able to get both for a total of 75$ maybe? I'm getting bbs shaves with both razors so they are an amazing value.

Recently acquired this shiny silver feather weight. Love the looks much more than the gold one

I own a Colonial and a ATT SE1. I use to have a Mongoose and an Alumigoose.
I suggest that you try the General from Colonial since its form factor (handle) + mildness + lightness make this razor one of a kind IMHO. With the General, if you like agressive razor, you can load it with Feather Super Pro. Blade-wise, the General is the most versatile SE razor that I have tested (With Mon/Alumi-goose, Super Pro are just too much aggressive)

I think Colonial Razors was planning on making the General out of different metals in the future (brass?) so maybe you can hold out for that if you are concerned about the aluminum version being too light. Maybe he can chime in on that...

I exchanged several emails with Kyle and Kirk. Yes, that's right. Colonial Razors plans to make the General in brass and in SS in the future. They are currently prospecting US manufacturers to do so. These models should be launched someday in 2017.

Thanks for the confirmation Lacaff. I think a brass one would be sweet!
