Hey Gents,

My love of Rockwell razors has extended to the recently released Blue and Red versions of their killer 6S model.

The first thing I noticed is the razor, whilst maintaining the same dimensions, seems more refined and a tighter finish. I can’t explain it but compared to my original 6S from 2016, I got this feeling from these new models.

They retain the heft of the 6S (118 grams) and the perfect balance. It’s a really easy to handle razor and I don’t really feel the heft in my hands due to it being so well balanced.

Some say the point where the blade is clamped is too far back from the cutting edge. This may be true for many other razors on the market, but for the 6S, one major difference is that the cap bends the blade a lot more on the Rockwell. This really helps to keep the blade rigid and reduce blade chatter. Even on the R6 setting which I use as a daily driver, the blade feels very tight and smooth.

Looking at the colours, I really feel the razors look a lot better than the photos show on the website. The blue version has a bit of shine to it where the red is a deep, matte red.

The red 6S may just be my favourite of the lot! The PVD coating is perfect on both versions and honestly, both are stunning. The colour and finish is just awesome and nicer than what I expected. I am pleased to see the quality of the PVD coating is at the level of the Jet Black version, which is amazing!

If you are a long time fan of the 6S, you really owe it to yourself to add these to your collection. If you are considering your first 6S, I hope this and my previous reviews help you to decide which version you may enjoy the most.

I have been a fan of the 6S (and 6C) since the first time I used it. I have many other razors in my den but the 6S is a model I consider perfection in every way!!

These are some nice looking razors. I have somehow gone all this time without owning a 6s.

It looks almost like it's been spray painted to me, don't think it looks that great tbh

You really owe it to yourself to try one.
Just grab the original I would say. They are currently having a decent sale.

It looks like the red paint on the base plate has chipped in the picture of the entire side view of the razor.

I didn't notice that in the photo...it's either a shadow or dust. The coating has no chips.
