Per Twitter Joe is initially making 1200 and it is posted on IB website if you want to be notified when in stock via email. Made of 100% 316 stainless steel.

1. It should arrive in a 3-4+ weeks, in my eyes that's good news because there will be plenty Mambas  for those that wont have 2nd thoughts purchasing the razor, so most likely the razor will be available for purchase for a good day because there will be big numbers coming in.

2. Price will be $60, great news.

Has all this been confirmed by RR?
Confirmed by RR publicly wise? No! but I got this info from a Canadian birdie via email lol

I never heard the birdie saying anything regarding number quantities, but if brings in 1200 razors in stock in the first shot, they will be available for purchase for probably at least 24 hours, hopefully that number is accurate.

Are you sure the $60 you saw wasn't for the DLC Hawk?

I can't find any other mention of $60 on his twitter. Also, no mention of 1200 razors being in stock.

On the “placeholder” page for the Mamba on Italian Barber, the description says that they are initially aiming to have at least 1,200 razors ready for the release.

However, I haven’t seen any price information, either, and on that same Mamba page on Italian Barber, it is currently listed as $1 (just because a number probably had to be entered).

1200 initial razor release is accurate and can be found on the IB website under new releases then click Mamba razor for a full description. You can also sign up to be notified by email when they will be available.

I'm also wondering, where did the "3-4+ weeks" figure come from? That seems rather excessive. The pages usually get put up pretty close to the release date.

Perhaps this is from experience — Joe once posted on Instagram that the MJ-90 was “7–10 days away,” but then it actually took about three weeks for it to go on sale, so maybe this is a more realistic estimate. Smile

I always wanted to try the original Black Mamba, but after purchasing the recently released Aluminum Baby Smooth, I'm not sure if I want to take a chance on the New Mamba. The Baby Smooth does not work for me. I suspect it is the curvature of the blade. If the Mamba bends the blade like the Baby Smooth, I don't think I will enjoy my shaves.

The Mamba and Baby Smooth are very different designs. I had the original Mamba and original Baby Smooth at the same time. The original Mamba I found it to be very heavy. The new design has a slim base plate compared to the original.
