I've been hearing grumblings and rumors on social media and elsewhere about this for quite a while, so decided to go to the source. Italian Barber has confirmed the re-release of the Black Mamba DE razor, with "some" up for sale in six to eight weeks (not firm), in either black or "au natural" (undecided). Good news for those of us who missed these the first time around.

Interesting. Exactly the same specs of the previous Black Mamba, or are there improvements? I have the "old" version and it is an excellent razor. I just found it difficult to suggest because it wasn't easily available.

Joe hinted about this several months ago here on DFS. I’m glad to see that the matter has not been forgotten and that it seems to be progressing. Smile

This will kill off the interest in the Oristo which is a Mamba knock off. They are selling the black version for $250 CAD on their site. That translates to roughly $190 USD plus shipping and Joe was selling them at $120 shipped. Provided Joe keeps his pricing the same, the Oristo will not be able to compete.

IB likes to tweak his creations a bit so expect some changes to this new version, but that's just my thinking and not in any way confirmed. I do hope he keeps the UberGlide.

The handle.

The Oristo handle is one only a mother could love.

I really appreciate the opportunity some vendors give us to buy razor heads without handles. The whole industry would offer the option in my perfect world.
Shave yourself.

The Oristo works for me including the handle. It is a great shaver.
