Ok, so I have been reading a lot about cold water shaving, and after getting bored with my current routine, decided to shake things up. I started on Monday with the following routine before showering.

1. Washed face with cold water and Noxema while soaking the brush in cold water as well.
2. Lathered and shaved for a total of three passes while using the cold water to rinse the razor.
3. Removed lather and clean up with cold water as well.

I have to say that it was a very pleaseant and irritation free shave. I will continue this routine for the near future, I kind of like the feeling of the cold water in my face and my skin feels much better.

I like a cold water shave now and then. I usually wind up using warm... Hot water doesn't work well for me.

Hector, while I have never prepped with cold water, I love the way cold water feels when rinsing my face after the last pass.
I will try a complete cold water Shave today.
Also does anyone know if the cooling effects of using a soap with menthol are magnified when using cold water instead of warm water?

I've been using cold water for about six months now. Though the water in S Florida is not that cold I still get a DFS. When in western New York for two week vacation last summer their water seemed like ice. I got some great shaves.

Using Proraso green then the cold water really feels like cold water. As I stated previously here in S Florida the water ain't to cold but sure feels it upon final rinse.

hrfdez I see that I am starting to rub off on you. Smile haha

It is a great thing is has greatly helped in my fight against razor bumps. It provides such a smoother shave, this is the only way I have shaved since starting.

I have heard a lot about Noxema I should give that a try in my routine.

I usually rinse, much like jsanchez, with cold water and like the feel. I will have to give the full cold shave a try although I do like a hot water shave.

I still like a hot shave, but I have found out that cold water is giving me a much smoother feeling shave. Specially after the first pass, since the blade will make much more contact with the skin on the second and third pass, the feeling of the cold water during the rinse and on the blade itself, feels very soothing, if that makes any sense, lol....

I enjoy a cold water shave when the weather is warmer. However, waking up to a flat that is 55 degrees this time of year definitely cools the enthusiasm for it (no pun intended). I always finish my shave with a cold water rinse to help close up the pores.

I just shaved using nothing but cold water. Overall it was very invigorating and a nice smooth shave. I did notice that using the cold water had a soothing effect when rinsing as well. I did get a couple of weepers which was not due to the cold water. I was a bit rushed, however I did not get the burning sensation I normally receive with weepers. Not sure if that is due to the cold water or not.

I will definitely try shaving with the cold water again.
