What are the soaps that use?

I have two kinds of soaps: those that work well and those that don't. I discard the ones that don't work and cycle through all of the good ones.

tabac should probably be on the list. I think most shy away from it because the scent of tabac can be decisive.

regarding valobra. I've never used it myself. does valobra only come in 1 scent or is there some variety? if there's some variety, what should I look for?

They have a Patchouli and Fougere scent as well as "Cologne". My personal scent wheel would have me lean toward the fougere.

+ Czech and Speake No. 88, Oxford & Cambridge
+ AoS Tallow soaps (Unscented, Lemon, Sandalwood). Discontinued, but readily available on Ebay.

There was also a Lavender AoS.

IMO, the AoS tallow (discontinued) and C&S soaps are a touch better than the Valobra-branded soaps.

* But do not buy the current AoS soaps, they lag far behind the ones we are referring to. They work ok, but just nothing like the old ones.

Like Andrew, mine would be Tabac. I really liked its performance, this goes even with Arko and La Toja but every time I'm set on using them, a different soap would catch my attention.

I also have creams but whenever I convinced myself I have to use one, I usually decide to postpone and go lather a soap which I find to be more enjoyable.

Creams I liked are St. James, TOBS, Biotique and Body Shop Maca.

I spent 2016 rotating Tallow & Steel, Jabonman Premium tallow, Wickham 1912, SV, Nuavia, L&L, MW, CRSW & of course my favorite, Mike's Natural. Might have been a few more.

I had half a puck of Haslinger's Aloe Vera I discovered in a drawer and after one use wondered how, as Rob said, a soap slipped through the cracks, in my case the little Austrian lather bomb.

Needless to say an order was placed.
