Get yourself a Gillette red tip....the UK version smokes a wolfman 1.05 IMO...but it can be pricey.

The US version is also respectable and will provide an amazing shave....I guarantee it. And these are
smooth as hell too.

I don't know if you can reliably shim a butterfly razor, otherwise I would agree.

I say grab an adjustable that fits your tastes and price range. I still think the Progress is the best affordable adjustable that you can still buy new.

Pardon me for my error. I hadn't noticed they were butterfly razors. Therefore, I would have to agree with the Merkur Progress as it is a very good adjustable.

Henson Aluminum (Medium Level) or Razorock Game Changer .68. The Game Changer .84 could be too much of an increment up in aggression.

Confused He said a tiny bit more aggressive!!  If the ikon tek was the only razor on earth I’d have a beard. I drag mine out every few years to see if my memory was wrong about it or if my technique has improved sufficiently and each time I’m reminded that my memory is accurate and my technique hasn’t improved to the point that I can use that bloodthirsty tool.

I think the Ikon Tek is an incredible razor. VERY aggressive/efficient. Not for newbies! Your techniques must be perfect or it will bite.

Its $35 with a Bulldog handle right now on the Ikon website. Heck of a deal!
