Hard to resist. I joined the pre-order, too. No payment until the razor ready.

I couldn't resist pre-ordering. There website has been crashing all day but i managed to get my info in. Looks very interesting. I love the sliding baseplate mechanism. That's what sold it for me but I have 3 Rocnel adjustables, the Taiga and a Rex and just wondering if this one will be aggressive enough for me. Time will tell. Wonder if they have had anyone test this one yet. Would love to hear from anyone that may have tried it.

Anyone understand how they listed the dimensions? I get the weight but i was trying to figure out the overall length and I guess its 88mm? That doesn't make sense from what my eyes are telling me.

Am I wrong? It appears that at the most aggressive setting (5) the blade gap is 0.90 and exposure is positive 0.17, which is same blade gap as MASAMUNE NODACHI (Their most aggressive razor) with only a SLIGHTLY more positive exposure (0.17 vs 0.13) ??
Also, it seems like a rather SMALL razor, if I read the dimensions correctly (?)

That's exactly what i am trying to figure out.  Glad that I have not paid for it yet.  Really need to see this razor in action.

I like the design. The sliding plate is a good way to adjust the exposure without relying on a larger gap like other adjustable razors do. It looks like the handle is about the same length as the masamune, which is longer than I like. I also don’t like the way it covers the blade tabs. I think it’s a good looking razor. I can definitely see the appeal, but that’s a lot of money for a razor when I already have plenty of razors that meet my needs/wants.

Seems to be an impressive bit of engineering, and if I were to jump on a SS DE razor right now, it'd be an adjustable like this, with apparently novel design and pleasant aesthetics. I've already pre-paid for a soon-to-be (I hope...it's been "a few weeks" away for a couple months now) Ti DE razor, otherwise I'd probably take a chance on this one. Instead, I'll be waiting for the hype/post-hype cycle to complete before seriously pondering this set.

This is my only concern. I am finding Nodachi as a medium aggressive razor. It is more like 4.5 of his adjustable razor.
I can only use 4-5 for this razor. I wish it would go higher settings.

For me as a daily shaver I use the Nodoci top cap with the Masamune baseplate which looks to be right in the middle of this adjustable so perfect for me

He probably purposed the adjustable starts a bit milder than Masamune (1) and final setting a bit more aggressive than Nodachi (5).

Nodachi top cap with Masamune is more like #3.
