So I got the whole set plus 2 sets of the Canada 150, one for my son and one for me - Ryan informed me that I have the distinction of having placed the largest order in T+S history.  I throw down the gauntlet.  Who among you is up to the challenge to top my record?  Hey, a record is a record Big Grin

I really Wanted to check out 150. If only there were shipping options to the states. I understand though. Enjoy!

So now I'm going to have to try to get the image of those aged castor sacs out of my mind every time I use the Canada 150 - I'll use visualization to replace that image with much nicer images like Tutankhamen's grizzled muzz or the scrotum of one of those bog men dug out of peat bogs after 1000 years. Confused Sorry Ryan, but I don't think I really needed to see those sacs Big Grin I'm sure I'll feel differently once I've actually experienced it.

I know that members living outside North America often use a re-shipper to get product shipped from US to global destinations. I wonder if there are any Canadian equivalents?

That's an excellent thought that I hadn't considered.

Wait, are you volunteering? Lol

Haha yeah.. we have received a little bit of flack for posting a photo of them. But we care about informing and educating customers as much as possible (which is why we list full scent ingredients and that they are all essential oils) - so why not!

I think we will take the photo down though now that everyone has seen in. I would never give in to people sending us mean emails about anything - that stuff doesn't phase me. But the photo just doesn't really fit with the "theme" of the page now does it!

You weren't alone. The amount of Americans trying to get 150 was mind blowing. People who had never tried T+S before, and the only product they wanted was one made to celebrate the birthday of a country that isn't theirs...Huh

The splash contained a fair amount of whiskey, so it was out. And the soap had a little bit - and as I don't know the laws for that, I played the "better safe than sorry" card. Plus we were limited in the amount of castoreum we had, so if we would have opened it up to Americans, they would have bought it all before Canadians had a chance.

Plus.. about time us Canucks have something LE, since it's often difficult or expensive for us to get things that are so easily accessible in the U.S. Smile

Certainly not complaining, as I think you should be able to have something special for where you live. I was more so saying that if it had been available here, regardless of the name or intent of its creation, the scent profile would have lured me to try it.

And I am among those who have not yet tried T+S.

I do agree with all that you write here, Ryan, including a Canadian L.E., but I have to admit that the 150 is the one that truly intrigued me.  Besides the ingredients/scent, I believe that many of us in the States have an affinity for Canada and Canadians so I'm really not surprised that we wanted to add the soap and splash to our shave dens.  I'm really glad it proved to be a great seller for you. It's definitely awesome that there was demand for 150 from the U.S. we didn't expect that at all. I hope you get a chance to try our other products. 150 is unlike anything we've done, but by no means do I think it's our best scent.

Thanks and likewise from Canada to you!

I know some people saw coffee, whisky, maple and expected a really rich scent. But I am just hoping that the description conveyed the scent clearly: a light, woodsy, herbal type scent with a sweet musk dry down.

We will try to get more castors next year to use for something that will be open to everyone.
