So I picked up another super adjustable for cheap (H4). The thing looks to be near mint condition, but doesn't have the last 1/4 turn. What's the best way to try and fix this with disassembling the razor?

Soak it in very hot water and work it a few times. I've seen that to some Gillette Adjustables, it's the soap residue that causes this.

Do NOT use WD-40 or other 'penetrating' oil since it'll loosen the adjustment collet deep inside the handle (supposed to be immobile).
Like others have said, very hot water and a long soak should loosen it. Maybe a couple of drops of mineral oil via syringe needle through the breather hole in the base cap.

I actually submerged a flare tip in mineral oil for 24 hours and it made the creaky open and closing of the TTO totally smooth. I'll try the soap and hot water soak first though. This is the first one that I have had problems with the 1/4 turn.

Also, any food grade oil...including PAM.

It is soaking in mineral oil as we speak. I'm actually enjoying the Krona you sold me as my travel razor. Smile

Best Krona I ever owned. It always made up for my lack of skill and even inferior soaps. Despite its imperfections, it's built like a tank. And to answer your question on another thread, yes, it did do a guest appearance on my one and only shave video. (an 8 minute persuasive speech that lasted 25 minutes) Smile

If you're careful, you can pry the endcap off the base of the handle to gain access to the spring for more thorough cleaning. The cap is press-fit and can be pressed back in once done. Just not too many times. Wink
An excellent video explaining the complete disassembly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-jrcqb6efc
