I think it would be fun to go to his store and smell a bunch of soaps. I think it's three hours away from me.

I don't think anyone questions whether or not Rob and Mindy are fine people. Someone clearly dropped the ball here. It's fair game to have discussions centered around it...and that doesn't indicate malice or animosity from the participants.

I'll respond just once to express I wasn't attacking anyone. I never indicated anyone showed malice or animosity. You are correct that discussion is fair game. I try to put myself in his shoes and how I'd feel. Being deceived and frustrated by the HUGE let down after the time and money invested and knowing how those that were counting on me will feel. I would hope that at least at first I could have their understanding and support while I try to rectify things rather than seeing posts about what I should have done and how these members I wanted to serve are focused on how long they will have to wait now. That was just my feelings and what I meant by give him a break. No attack on anyone. Feel free to tell him how he should have done it or better yet bring one to market yourself. No hard feelings just wanted to express to ROD and MANDY that we support them and are sorry this happened to him.

Really? Straight to the "go make your own" position? You are funny.

Rod is a big boy. As you pointed out, he is certainly free to manage his affairs as he sees fit. He didn't ask me for a loan to fund his project and certainly doesn't owe me an explanation. That doesnt mean I can't have a opinion.

Someone asked if he should have visited the shop personally. My answer is still the same and the evidence so far indicates it probably would have been a good idea.

They didnt take money in preorders/"in stock" and sit on it like Karve. They didnt do a kickstarter either so really this fiasco hurts no one but Rod. I'm sure hes learned his lessons and nothing I've said should be a great shock to him or anyone else reading this thread.

It would certainly be interesting how it happened but it's not critical information to me. Just really sad hucksters take advantage of goodwill and faith. I hope Rod at least files a complaint with the BBB as a warning to other potential victims.

Rod has built a great reputation and loyal customer base, of which I consider myself one. This snafu didn't hurt his business a single bit. Guys just like me will still buy his razor when it's really in his hands and meets his standards.

Now, I'm sure it hurt their pride a bit...but that builds charachter.

I just hope these razors are released at all. I fear that because expenses were higher than anticipated Rod will halt product development altogether.

In addition the shop has agreed to destroy the 300 razors made in China. Rod is in the process of contracting with another shop. Lets hope this will run smoothly with no hitches.
CzechCzar It was informed here that due to what happened there will be no costs for Rod!

Yeah, but wasted time, and no guarantee the new machine shop won’t be more expensive.
