I know this razor is subjective in the way it shaves. I heard it's very mild, smooth and efficient and some say the shave is mid level with a sharp blade. Just need to get opinions in regards to the shave and using different blades. Just need down to earth feedback. Thank you!

I've been using my mamba razor since December, I really like the way it shaves and looks. All my Russian blades work very well and the Feather blades probably work best.
Really it's hard to say which blade is better. So far never had a bad shave with the mamba. [Image: 8e4ab515e60674f94d8cd4aa070e907e.jpg]

because of the longish safety bar the razor has a narrow band of workable blade angles. Every razor will have an optimum angle but some still perform well if you open or close it a bit. With the mamba I find unless I'm right on the angle, I'm not shaving. It's not hard finding the angle but it took me some practice to hold it during a shave. I'd rate it mild no matter what blade you use. I use feather, Polsilver, and permasharps in mine. There is audible feedback but this razor is not loud. Blade feel is "just barely". I'd put a Jagger DE89 in a mild/medium class. Mamba is a mild. Once I learned the angle, I can get just as close as I can with much more aggressive razors. I'm keeping mine.

For me it is a mild razor, equivalent to the Feather AS-D2 or the Charcoal Goods Level 1. It gives me consistently easy BBS shaves with the vintage Wilkinson Light Brigades and Personna 74 Tungstens that I use. Just like with the Feather and the CG, there is a learning curve to find the right angle. And also like them, the choice of blade is crucial.

I find it a very mild shaver, and unfortunately, too mild for my coarse beard even with sharp blades. However, it provides me with very nice head shaves.
Overall, for the money, it is a superb mild shaver.

Hey John,

I know about the mildness of the AS-D2 razor. I did not think it would be compared to the Feather DE...WOW! Thank you for the input.

Thank you for the input. I see it's a very mild razor by other members no matter what blade you put in it. I saw the Nick shave Video using the Game Changer by razorock which is not out yet and he stated it was just a little more aggressive than the 34C HD. Of course, this will be a hard razor to get once it comes to market. Most people in general like their Mambas. Only way to find out is to get one I guess..Thanks again!
