I’d recommend it to those new to bread making, it’s super easy and tasty. I sent this vid to my sister, who is planning to make her first loaf:

Video works for me  Happy2  This looks interesting.  Also, don't be afraid of kneading bread dough - its actually quite a relaxing activity.

Today I made another 80% hydration sourdough but used Einkorn, Kamut and bread flour. All organic.

My Sourdough Starter is started! I had a heck of a time getting my hands on Flour, but finally got a hold of some. I also can’t find any Yeast, but if I can get a healthy Starter going I won’t need it. I used Organic Whole Wheat Flour for the first day because supposedly whole grains contain more nutrients and sourdough-friendly microorganisms than All Purpose Flour. From what I’ve read, Unbleached All Purpose Flour will be just fine for subsequent feedings. Hopefully in a week or so I’ll be ready to go. I’ve been looking up recipes that use the discard, and there seem to be quite a few, so no worries about it going to waste. We’ll see if I can make something halfway edible, it sounds like Sourdough making is as much Art as it is Skill. I’m not Artistic and I don’t have many Skills, so we’ll see.
