Razor: Blackland SS Blackbird
Blade: Minora Stainless (1)
Soap: Noble Otter Barrbarr
Brush: AP Shave 26mm Silksmoke
Bowl: Timeless
Post-Shave: Noble Otter Barrbarr Splash & CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion.

Second shave with the Blackbird. It's a special razor that demands respect and attention, but the Minora blade is spot-on for me during the learning period. An incredibly close 2-pass shave with some lingering neck irritation that is reminding me that I don't quite have the angle yet. I'm good with that and am looking forward to the next few shaves. As Jack White may have once said, I can tell that we are gonna be friends.

Ok, so this was my first time using a HAGS product. Honestly, I’ve been biased against it. I can’t think of a less desirable product name than HAGS. Further, like PAA, the artwork just doesn’t appeal to me. However, I’ve got to eat some crow here. I definitely unfairly judged a book by its’ cover. While today was my first time using this soap, it definitely won’t be my last. Honestly, I’m amazed at how good it is. The scent is fantastic, and the performance is absolute top-tier. I plan to use this again tomorrow with a newly honed straight, and will report back. I hope everyone had a great day!

Hi Guys

I fully agree about HAGS - it was a very good surprise as well for me  Happy2

Continuing with this week's hard soaps due to hot weather, Captain Fawcetts was on hand this morning - one of the best soaps according to Teiste ...

Razor Razorock 'Game Changer 0.68' - it does the job really well !

Love this AS and Balm by the way  Smile

Razor: Titanium Diamondback
Blade: Wizamet
Brush: SV 2.0 Cocobolo/Manchurian Badger
Soap: B&M Kalyptos
AS : Witch Hazel + B&M Kalyptos
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 2,094

Kalyptos has eucalyptus, peppermint and spearmint essential oils in it for a bright and fresh cooling scent. I find it interesting the name and a little Googling found the meaning of Eucalyptus as what Will used as in Greek it's meaning is as quoted below:

The name "eucalyptus" is a product of the Greek words 'eu' and 'kalyptos,' and translates to "well covered." Eucalyptus flower buds that have yet to bloom are covered and protected by an abundance of the lush eucalyptus leaves that we adore.

I find the scent and cooling refreshing and while it has a nice strength to enjoy, it's not an in your face overdone strength. The cooling is also at a level to enjoy the cooling without being at a freeze your face level. Want more freeze and you could always add menthol or a synthetic cooling agent of your choosing which are available from many sources. I'm glad I got this and have another Omnibus Base soap with a scent I'll reach for year round but especially in the warmer months. Great job Will Barrister_N_Mann !
