BRUSH: LGL Synthetic.
SOAP: Body Shop Maca Root.
BOWL: Yoresh Electric Mickey Bowl.
RAZOR: GEM Micromatic Open Comb.
BLADE: PAL Carbon Blue. First shave. More below.
PASSES: 3 No touch up needed.
SHAVE: Scary but EXCELENT.
AFTER SHAVE: Aqua Velva Ice Blue.

This was the most aggressive shave I have ever suffered. Most uncomfortable. One slight cut.
I am familiar with all components. They are excellent so I suspect the blade.
I must give it a second chance .

Some of them are so ugly.
Have a look.
If he would only shave.

Mickey, that shot of the bee is an incredibly well done cell macro! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Kevin.

I see you found my subject's father. He doesn't shave very often does he?
But he is very well groomed.

Friday 13 July 2016.

Exactly the same as yesterday. Same equipment. Same results.

I know some people report the GEM open comb is too aggressive but it has always been gentle with me.
So I will return to it its usual Personna GEM blades.

I will try the PAL Blue Carbon blade in what I think is one of the most gentle, kindly and forgiving GEM, the Micromatic Bullet. ( It and the Damaskeene are tied )

The test will occur tomorrow morning. The PAL must pass or it will receive a pink slip.

Well I did it. Same specs as before but I used a GEM Micromatic Bullet Razor.
It's amazing how a bullet will correct an unruly PAL. ------ More or less.

My shave was easy. No rough-ian to make it unpleasant.
But I would only classify it as barely passable.

He ain't no PAL of mine.

Enough of Blue Carbon. Back to real shaving tomorrow..

Freddie,

A lovely series of photos.

They prove my contention that bugs can be beautiful.

Meet Miss Charlotte. She was my neighbour for 2 weeks and then mysteriously vanished.
She had a great taste in clothing.

Thank you Mickey. Beautiful pic of that garden spider. I have a patch of Tiger lilies beside my shed and get one each year in the middle of them.
