I never heard about a SV brush being floppy. I had two of them and they both had very nice springy backbone

Not floppy at all, but a very different construction than other brushes, the knot is set rather deep in the handle and the cup of pewter keeps it compact.

I have one myself and can recommend it. Great lathermaker.

Definitely not floppy but yes, different. Very pleasant and luxurious.

Sale pending, thank you all.
