That Type H is weird. Was that designed for women?

Yes it was. Funny thing it cuts men's hair as well. Fabulous shaver. I bought four of them. Much better razor than the G series sold concurrently (1946). With a new and unique head/spring it's both milder and more efficient than the men's razor. TWhite's Bunny razor smartly took head design cues from the H.
