Sold Vintage Houbigant Yama Aftershave/Cologne - Final Reduction

I started with the Lotion (aftershave) and then got the slightly stronger Cologne and ended up mixing them to get more longevity of the fragrance, which I really like.  My skin is sensitive to eaux de toilettes and colognes and does not tolerate many of them, but it does just fine with the mixture.  So the Yama in the nearly full Lotion bottle has the astringent and soothing properties of an aftershave but the fragrance duration of a cologne (over 4 hours), the best of both worlds.  The unmixed Cologne bottle is still half full.  The bottles are the really large 8 oz. ones.

Yama was introduced in 1967 and is no longer available retail.  Its fragrance is similar to that of Floris No. 89 (spicy nutmeg top notes, floral heart notes, and wood/vetiver base notes) but with an added somewhat Oriental tone.  Unfortunately, for some reason my wife is not fond of the scent, so it must go.

John, are these each undiluted by the other? You mentioned that you blend the two together. Were those other bottles?

Actually, my first post I think was inaccurate. After more thought and memory searching, I've realized that the full bottle has the mixture (about half and half), while the half-full one is what was sold to me as cologne. I was unsure about it because it has the black/white lid like the lotion, while other cologne bottles I've seen have had a black/orange lid. However, it definitely is a bit more concentrated than the undiluted lotion was.

I've edited the first post to try to make it more accurate. Did that clarify or confuse things?
