Purchased new and used for one week and found it a bit too mild for my taste.

For anyone interested, I love my Tatara razor. Yes it’s a softer feel but I can get bbs in 3 plus cleanup, makes a feather feel like much much friendlier blade, quality is top notch and best of all I’m irritation free on my neck which can be prone to irritation.

I try my best not to gouge anyone, especially on this forum where I know what I'm selling/trading is going to go to good home and put to good use...

I have heard fabulous things about this razor, but I am surprised you find the OC version mild, as I was led to believe the contrary. How does it compare to a Blackbird SB in terms of aggressiveness/efficiency/exposure?

This is a great razor - both plates are super smooth. The SB is rather mild but the OC kicks it up a notch to perfectly usable. No, it's not a .95 Timeless or an R41.

Mild in feel only - it is very efficient and comfortable. I have the Blackbird in OC and the Tatara is smoother but more efficient than the Blackbird. The caveat with all this is that the Tatara takes a very sharp blade (Feather for example) for this smooth/effecient combo and after a couple of shaves with a sharp blade, while the smoothness is still there, the efficiency is not for me. Now mind you, I have a very coarse fast growing beard and a slight case of OCD (I need 7 shaves out of every razor/blade combo) that weigh into my selling this Tatara.

I wish it would take larger handles.
