Forget everything you know about the Futur and other clones, this is very mild but capable razor, and a cuckoo value at its asking.
I started the shave on my beard at the 5 setting (BIC blade) and left it there for first WTG pass. It was comfortable and effective, but immediately noticeable was the more limited angle of effective tack vis a vis the Futur. I tend not to notice what I'm doing in terms of pressure or how to describe the touch, but I'm sure I was applying some pressure here, more than I would with the Future. Second pass XTG/ATG I upped to 6.5 and the razor performed well, no chatter going ATG on the chin or moustache are, very pleasant and reasonably efficient, though honestly nothing to write home about
For the head shave I cranked it up to 8. Still not what would I would describe as an aggressive shave at all but I liked it best at this setting, a bit easier finding optimum angle and still no chatter ATG. Pick ups I did best I could with this razor. Feeling my head now I would say it was less than a BBS result. Maybe a blade change or shim might get me there we'll see.
Looking at the photo of the head on the 8 setting it looks to me like even at this setting the razor has negative exposure explaining its more limited angles despite the considerable gap.
I had no issues with handling, I was more careful keeping my hands dry but it was not a problem at all (neither is my Futur, the Q-Shave is more a problem). If the alignment isn't perfect I didn't notice and issues in shaving and the magnetic cap did its job perfectly well.
Next shave I'll use a Kai blade to add a tad more exposure and just keep the razor at max.
