I finished a tub of Mystic Water which was very slick, but severely lacked in cushion / protection. ABC hard soap is by far the slickest, just start with a damp brush and load heavy. I don't like spending a bunch of time in the morning adding water a few drops at a time to hydrate soap to make it slick.

I have found that my concoction of Mitchell's Wool Fat and Haslinger Schafmilch (tallow formula) grated and combined in a 50/50 ratio and pressed into an empty TOBS tub provides me with the slickest lather of any of my 54 soaps, creams and various samples. It's not finicky. It's not difficult to lather like MWF is alone. It's not drying in post shave like MWF can sometimes feel. And the scent of the two combined is amazingly nice, sweet, fresh and clean as compared to either one separately. Right now the best soap (or cream) I have in my stable. And fortunately I stocked up on the tallow formula of Schafmilch so I'll be able to stay stocked with this until I die.

Tallow: TABAC.

Non-tallow: Nuàvia.

I would also like to vote explicitly against Martin de Candre as the slickest one.

PS: The most important factor is anyway to use enough water. Even the lather of some experienced wetshavers seems to be too dry for my taste.
