$61.75 is too steep.  I get a better post shave from Mike's.

That's why I'm saying they capitalized on the hype, these babies were selling like hot cakes, and rightfully so, I would have done the same.  Plus the talk on the shaving sites was non stop, I'm sure they saw that.  More power to them, I have no problem with good old capitalism.

I presented it as my opinion since it cannot be independently verified as fact without some investigative legwork, but I'm betting that was the rationale. Also, the artisan has said on numerous occasions (and I believe him) that the soap is expensive to produce. You could also be right for all we know, or it could be some combination of the three issues.

I couldn't care less either way. It's worth the money in my book.

I remember reading as such as well.... that the price was an introductory offer.

I held off at the time, because I was not blown away by the regular Panna Crema... but then the glowing reviews came and I got a chance to smell it at Pastures....and the rest is history. =p

TSE, I have to agree with you on the fact that I don't own nor have I ever tried MDC but these are great. Better than ADP I think not. Yes ADP is a little more costly in terms of amount of product but I prefer the ADP over Nuavia any day of the week and twice on Sunday

GloryUprising Thanks! I may have missed that, which is possible since I ordered upon release. I don't really care much about the price, I would have bought it at the regular price regardless.

Thanks for mentioning that GloryUprising. I was pretty sure that I had read it elsewhere.

NeoXerxes ok, so you win, yeahhhhh! You need to relax dude, you are always looking for some type of confrontation/redemption when people don't agree with you. It makes you look petty. Just because you claim you right reviews etc, it doesn't mean you are right 100% of the time, after all a review is nothing more than an opinion.

Just saying, it gets boring. One upping is not nice.

Hector, I think you are reading quite a lot into my previous post. I was merely thanking Spencer for confirming that he had also seen that information elsewhere.

Happy to see this reviewed TSEvangelist .  These two soaps are my absolute favorites.

My favorite soap. Tongue Even over MdC, but I've never tried Nuàvia lol. I really don't need anymore soap for the next 30 years so I probably never will either. I would fill a bunker with Mikes and Haslinger if the shavapocolyspse was coming though. Angel

It reminds me of Martin de Candre with better post shave.
I think the the soap base, lather and post shave of Mike's Natural, another long-time artisan, is superior.
Nice product but overhyped.

YMMV
