The brush shown as #4 is an Ever Ready H40. If all goes well, it will get a TGN silvertip knot.

Here is #5 right before setting the knot

Ever Ready brushes and knots, redo!

I pulled the Shave Forge silvertip from the 100T handle and moved it to the H40 handle. I dropped some nickels in the bottom and added a 1" nylon spacer with a dime on top to act as a base for the knot. The SF silvertip is sitting with a lower loft than usual for me, but so far I am liking the soft yet scrubby feel to this brush.

The Ever Ready 100T got a TGN silvertip Grade A knot added. I added a few pennies for weight (nickels wouldn't fit!) and the knot sits snug at the glue base, so it got siliconed there. Ended up feeling borderline floppy, but denser than the Shave Forge. Again, I am liking it so far.

This morning I used both, a first for me, using two brushes!

How frequently would you say you use the Overlander Eric? From what I see it's 50% or less of your shaves. I vote to rename the group to "Disloyal Order of the Overlander". Lol.

Just kidding. Tapatalk is malfunctioning today. Have to use the web interface. Usually don't get to see these signatures. Very entertaining to see them all after so long.   Big Grin

I should really add my own. Then I can surprise myself every now and then, when Tapatalk inevitably does this again. It is absolutely the worst forum software on Android (unfortunately, it's also the only, lol).

You are correct, Paul! I can't believe it. I must hang my head in shame, and remove myself from the Order. But still, it was the most used for 2022 according to my notes.

Yikes, I was only kidding. No gauntlets! Lol.

I'm sorry Eric.

On the topic of the Overlander, and what I wanted to post in my original message: Is that yellowing on the handle lighting (still)? I think I asked this when you first got the plating done. Mines holding up well, but I'm always worried. BRG only warranties plating for a year. Makes me wonder if it will wear off quick-ish.

Edit: just saw your chart. Wow, I'm impressed! Nah, I'd say keep the title. You used it more than any other. Though... You were rather close to joining the Loyal Order Of the Slim (Maybe it would be Royal Order of the Slim... Since his name was 'King C Gillette', lol)
