I am really looking forward to try this razor. Honestly, I was expecting to get this razor in June.
Since, I worked with a machine shop before. When they said my work would be done in two weeks, I normally got it around two months later.
I am actually happy, you will assemble the razors, since I do not want want to have any quality problem.
And assembling the razors by you means for me the best quality inspection.

I am slightly disappointed with the delay but believe that the potential quality issue has been eliminated, so overall it is a good trade-off.  Ideally, the assembly would have been done with the expected quality.  I have suggested that Eric ship the razors as completed (3 a day) based on the order he received the orders for the razors.  Alternatively serial number order would also be fine by me.

I trust Eric. I'll wait. It sounds like he has higher standards and expectations than the machine shop which isn't surprising. I'd rather wait and know it's up to his standards. It's nice to honestly be able to say that no compromises were made with the quality of this razor.

The contract assembly shop assembling the Janus Razors refused to finish up the assembly work. After the ~50% defect rate, they do not want the work and if they did the work, they are unwilling to guarantee the work.

Instead of outsourcing the assembly work again, I have decided to do the assembly work myself at a pace of 2-3 razors a day while I juggle everything else around me. It is a slower pace coz I don’t want to rush anything. I have spent a ton of time on the project to rush stuff at the end. At this pace, I will have all the razors ready to ship at the end of the month. Since this is one more unexpected delay for those who pre-ordered, I am honoring refund requests immediately. Please email me eric@janusrazors.com if you are requesting a refund.

I appreciate Eric Janus Razors for taking control and finishing the razors himself as he knows them the best. I will certainly wait for the finished product but it is upstanding that he is standing behind his initial promise to offer a refund at any time. Thank You Eric.

I don’t need another razor, I bought in for the journey and the passion Eric put into this project. I’m happy waiting for Eric to be happy to stand behind his razor, am I disappointed in a delay yeah but I don’t think this is anyone’s first razor so we will all manage to shave until it shows up

Janus Razors In this crazy environment noting is normal. So I’d much rather you take the time you need to finish the razor up to your standards and quite frankly I feel better with the fact that your going to finish the assembly yourself as you know the razor better than anyone else. I also agree on the kind offer to refund but I’ve waited this long and I’m not loosing my spot. Also I’m sure that I’m not the only guy who has more than enough razors in my den to get me through the 30 day wait.

So all good my friend and stay safe!
