Hi RayClem!  I was talking with a different pal about the expense of this soap, and for me...it is the best out there...in my mind and experience there is no doubt about it.  So I sold some soaps that were very high quality that I wasn’t using to help finance the purchase.

You are right...there is seven ounces in the glass jar.  The interesting part of the conversation with my buddy was when I said... “I absolutely love the packaging...big heavy glass jar, cork lid, and real wooden labels...but I could do without the fancy packaging if it brought the cost down.”  My pal just shrugged and said, “It’s part of the overall experience...it’s like the difference between drinking a coke from a Macdonalds cup versus  drinking it out of a chilled old school glass bottle.”

He was right!

At any rate, I just had a beautiful shave using the soap, my STAR Model 100, and a vintage Schick Plus Platinum blade on its sixth use...I finished up with Barrister and Mann Bay Rum aftershave...the overall shave was sublime!

Above are the lather pics!
