Any sandalwood scent fans here?

By far my favourite scent but not many good ones out there.

Two of my best are TOBS sandalwood and truefit&hill sandalwood.

I really wish more artisans would make pure sandalwood scents and not mix other scents into it.

The only sandalwood scents I've tried are these:

Art of Shaving cream
Taylor of Old Bond Street cream
Razorock Santal Royale soap
Proviso Red cream

Of those four I'd say I like the AOS version the best. After that comes TOBS and then RR. Proraso is on this list only because I've heard so many people refer to it as a sandalwood scent. Whatever scent it does have is so mild I really don't get sandalwood from it. But everyone's nose is different.

What's not to love about sandalwood? I've not met one I don't like but my favorites are AOS and Local Gent.

I've really enjoyed the Obsessive Soap Perfectionist Sandalwood - a nice straight-forward sandalwood. The scent has a medium-strength

I hear sandalwood is very expensive to use to make soaps so im sure thats why they always use it in blends.

Im hoping a few artisans make some good sandalwood soaps soon.

You are killing me Dominic! You know I love that soap base and the scents so far are awesome. I'm confident that sandalwood will be another keeper but I need to get rid of a soap or two first. can hardly wait.

Then I guess you don't want me to tell you that I have been told more than once that some folks think it smells better than AOS Sandalwood. I have not used AOS, but of course, I'm sure they're right. Big Grin
