As Nuki said as well as the extreme blade bend. Based on the Merkur 45 which is not a mild razor. Cuts as well as any razor I've used even with a heavy beard. A sharp Super Iridium on multi day growth or a smooth Voskhod for everyday work week shaving does the trick just fine.

Does a Merkur 45 shaves just as good? Those are readily available so I might buy one to try.

The 45 is a great razor. It certainly rides under the radar with everyone craving stainless steel and unobtainable razors.

Too bad I didn't get on with mine. I found it too mild. However, it was very nicely machined.

How mild is it?  Are we talking Gillette Tech-mild or Merkur 34 HD-mild?

Personally, I found it as mild as a Tech. However, YMMV.

I have one that I rarely use. I know people love this razor, but, like Celestino, I find it to be on the mild side. I like a fairly mild razor, but I never feel like this one gets as close as I want. I've always felt like maybe it's user error because it is praised so highly by experienced shavers. I really need to use it consistently for a week or two to see if I can dial it in.

Have you tried switching handles? A heavier stainless steel handle may help.

+1 on the comments here. I got one of the initial release Baby Smooths, and the design is unique. It's mild, but sneaky efficient. Its a different kind of mild -- you actually feel the blade more than with a typically mild shaver, but it never feels like it's going to bite. Just a very good design. One of the best IMHO.

I would say try it for a while. The design is so different from other DEs that it takes me some adjusting in terms of muscle memory to get the angle right. Where I find it really shines is going ATG on the neck. Something about the head and blade angle really works for me making underhanded strokes.
