I've had the Rockwell 6s for a few months now and love it. I didn't buy the matching stand at first but then eventually added it and I like the stand as well - it really completes the set. Its occurred to me as I've been using the 6s, especially on those days when I might start with a more aggressive baseplate for the first pass and then switch to a slightly milder baseplate for the remainders, that it would make a lot of sense for the razor stand to have three vertical , dovetailed slots equidistant around the perimeter to hold the the baseplates. It would not only be practical but I think it would also make a handsome storage solution. I'm not sure why Rockwell hasn't thought of this, maybe too busy with the "C" variant of their razor but it would be a great thing to have. I can see some of those wild brush makers starting a side line of turning really funky razor stands in those crazy resins or ebonite (which would have the required weight I think) . Maybe the could even make razor stands to match the brush handles they're making so that a handsome matched set could be achieved. In any case, I thought I'd go and fiddle around in the shop to see what I can come up with for my 6s with baseplate slots in it - I won't be making it in any sort of metal as I don't have that capability at the moment but who knows. If I come up with anything interesting or useful I'll be sure to post.
Cheers,
Marko
